They Came From the Candy

We all know what Klonoa is capable of when it comes to saving dream worlds from the worst nightmares. And nothing stands in his way to complete his goal. Klonoa became a legendary hero in Lunatea. For the other dreams, they nearly forgot who he was after he became a homeless boy who lost it all, he is now looking for burgers to eat in a darkened alleyway. Klonoa is busy tipping over the garbage cans to check for edible food while standing on a recycling bin full of paper. Klonoa loses his footing and falls back while he hits his head hard on the brick wall behind him. He loses conscious.

Klonoa can only head to a dream world in a specific bed. Of course, here he'll dream the reoccuring dream since he's on the cold pavement. The dream where they came from the Candy. The world of Candy is an entire globe that's made purely of candy. There are different regions of candy like Chococlate, Gummy, the opposite, Bitterness, the list goes on. But today we'll be concentrating on the Land of Gummy, which is purely made of Gummy candy.

The Gummy Bear villagers or "Bears" as they are called, lived in harmony. But one day the Bitterness invaded and had stolen the Gummy Bear's sacred Gummy Anhk. This Anhk is what gives eternal life to the already forever living Gummy Bears. Without the Anhk the Bitterness will take over what is left of the "deceased" Gummy Bears, eventually taking over the World of Candy. Klonoa was summoned to save the Bears from disaster. The Gummy's stand no chance against the Bitterness. But after an effortless fight Klonoa had defeated the Bitterness and had retrieved the sweetest Anhk in existence. This Anhk is too dangerous for even a Furry to hold, and Klonoa was summoned as a Dream Traverler to retrieve it. He can't take survineurs or anything real to his side, or so they all thought when their theory was proven wrong: Klonoa was holding the Anhk when one of the Bitter attacked him from behind. Klonoa held and he bites the Anhk. He wakes up in his bed with the Anhk on his arms.

Klonoa looked down and he knew he can't return to the dream world again after he had slept the night. Afraid, he had to hide it from everybody else until the next night. He fears that he'll return the Anhk soon of else they'll be gone and the Bitterness will return regardless. What he didn't realize is that the Gummy can't really die when their Anhk is gone, they can only die when the Bitterness is in control. The Bitterness know how to destroy the Anhk and that's how the Gummy can truly be gone. They never had time to break it before Klonoa's intervention. And what's different is that the Gummy know where Klonoa is, they're on the hunt to find Klonoa.
Klonoa lived with Guntz at his house, he comes in not realizing that Guntz was there in the shower. Klonoa strips down and was going to enter the bathroom but he heard something else that's not Guntz showining, somebody was inside their house. Klonoa goes to Guntz's closet and wears whatever Guntz had inside the closet, well, his clothing. Klonoa took his ring and slowly moved around the house trying to pinpoint where the sound of where the invader was hiding. Klonoa tried this best to find whatever the noise was but instead he already forgot that he had brought the sacred Anhk with him. But as soon as he was going to make his next move he finally saw the intruders in his living room, a yellow Gummy Bear.

Klonoa approached the lonely Gummy Bear but before he can say anything it was an ambush. The Bears were armed with loaded candies that they can fire from their paws. There were five that surrounded Klonoa. The candy piled up rapidly and Klonoa could barely dig himself out from the mountain of candy. Eventually he freed himself at the top while the Bears crawled on the hill while trying to search and retrieve the Anhk. Klonoa finally gave up and he hands them the sacred Anhk. But while he stayed trapped at the top of the candy mountain Klonoa heard Guntz's angry voice scolding him about the candy mess. But Guntz was prepared, he pulled the gun out and began to fire upon the Gummy Bears that were trying to run away. The Gummies were impervious to bullets and together they tackled and had kidnapped Guntz. Klonoa tried his best to free himself from the candy mountain and was successful. Klonoa ran out the door but to his horror the world that he was living in was now full of jawbreakers, wrapped candy bars, and bubble gum. Klonoa thought this couldn't be the work of the Bitterness. Klonoa ran for what felt like miles, eventually he be swimming in the candy and soon he'd drown inside the candy.

Klonoa wakes up in a in a hospital bed with bandages around his head and under his ears. Hardough was the one who took care of him and Klonoa's rescuerer was none other than the benevolent Carneface. While in his stay Klonoa didn't realize that he was taken care of thanks to Uiu, the silent rescuerer. He thought it was his brother who ended up paying. Regardless, Klonoa knew that he'll be with Uiu soon. Or so he thought.
